Read the article: Bidding Bible - Part 2 - Bid the contract

Sometimes we have enough information on the bidding to say with certainty or enough certainty that we know what the contract should be, and that there is either no practical possibility or no benefit of further describing our hands. A couple examples.

On this hand we think 4 will be a good chance, 6 looks like far too much of a push. Partner's hand is sufficiently defined for us that we are happy to take that gamble.

Times where bidding the contract can be correct

  1. Partner's hand is well defined, we have enough information infront of us
  2. There is an obvious choice of contract with no real likely alternatives
  3. The bid is practical and good, there is risk in bidding less directly.
