The first question we're often faced with: should I draw trumps? In reality it's probably correct to draw them immediately about 50% of the time, and to wait the other 50%. There's no perfect rule, but a few good guidelines will help you find the right approach:
Ruff losers in dummy before drawing trumps
Typically set up long side suits before drawing trumps
If you can "Just draw trumps", do so — don't delay unless it's for a concrete reason
Remember that trumps often double up as entries. Try to draw a trump when you also need an entry to the hand.
