I've been emphasising the “slam maker” which is a 5+ card good quality suit. It often gives the extra tricks we need to make 12 tricks. However, slam bidding is a collection of 4 or 5 good ideas, that is one of the central ones. Lets look at another very simple and intuitive idea, but is too often overlooked.
